I still brought plenty of ammo, but the rule with OWB is bring fucktons of ammo and then bring fucktons more than what you planned on bringing after you gathered up a fuckton of ammo. I couldn't know this, so I was only modestly prepared. As we all know, OWB enemies eat bullets like candy. The first time I played OWB was with a Dead-is-Dead character. Lucky gets crazy good mileage for what it's capable of. A gun that hits like a truck but runs dry on ammo won't last you in longer fights or adventures, which is never a worry for Lucky. Usually people stress damage and how well something performs in a straight up fight, but these logistical factors are important too. It's craaaaazy helpful for carry weight and cost. 357 ammo practically grows on trees and is lighter weight than the heavier guns, and repairing Lucky to full condition only costs you ~120 caps. You can easily get Lucky to crit over 50% of it's shots while it's firing speed is pretty nice, but the difference main difference.?. Play Hardcore mode and if you've got a Luck build that has Agility, Lucky does damage on par with the Medicine Stick every time it crits.
Lucky's main strength is one that basically no other gun has or at least no other gun suits it as well: cost effectiveness.
